CV Writing and Interview Skills with Paul Gabard: Wings of Hope Workshop
On Saturday, we held an online CV and Interviews Workshop with Paul Gabard from London Business School. The session delivered exactly what the event aimed to offer: a clear introduction to what a CV is, why it matters, and how interviews work in the professional world.
Paul walked everyone through the basics of creating an effective CV, explaining how it helps you make a strong first impression and stand out from other candidates. He highlighted what employers look for and why presenting your skills and experiences clearly is so important.
The workshop also covered interview skills, giving students helpful tips on how to prepare, how to present themselves confidently, and how to perform well on the day. Paul’s presentation was easy to follow, engaging, and filled with practical guidance that students can start applying straight away.
Overall, it was an informative and supportive session that gave everyone a stronger understanding of CV writing and interviews, and Paul also took the time to answer students’ questions, helping them feel more prepared for future opportunities.
Preparing for an interview can be nerve-wracking, Paul explained each step that you should take when preparing:
Research: Learn about the company and understand the role
Practice: Rehearse common interview questions with friends or family
Dress professionally: Make a positive first impression
A huge THANK YOU to Paul for you guidance for our students during this workshop!
