Jayen Halai - Data Scientist
Sunday 31st May 2026 Â – 03:00pm (ONLINE)
FREE FOR WOHAA STUDENT PARTICIPANTS & ALUMNI
Jayen Halai is a Data Scientist working at Meta in London, specialising in experimentation and machine learning.
After completing his A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at King’s College London Mathematics School, Jayen joined Meta through their Data Science apprenticeship programme. During the 18-month programme, he rotated across multiple teams, building strong foundations in statistics and predictive analytics – skills he now uses daily in his role.
Jayen will share his journey into the world of data, offering insights into alternative pathways like apprenticeships, and what it’s really like working in a fast-moving, AI-driven industry. With data and AI evolving rapidly, he’ll also touch on how continuous learning and adaptability are key to success in this field.
There will also be a Q&A session where you can ask questions about breaking into data science, developing technical skills, and exploring careers in AI.
Outside of work, Jayen volunteers with various charities and enjoys cycling in his free time.
