Frontier 40 Challenge & DFNI-Frontier 40 km Charity Walk
The DFNI-Frontier team has completed a 40km charity walk to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Frontier Awards and raise funds and awareness for the Wings of Hope charity.
After a 7.30am start at DFNI HQ in Croydon on August 20th, the travel retail magazine’s editorial and sales team – Felix, Samara, Kapila, Jill and Chris – trekked through the scenic Surrey Hills to conclude their walk at finish line partners Silent Pool Distillers in Albury around 6pm.
“We felt a real sense of achievement, as well as lots of aches, but really enjoyed the day and appreciate all the support and donations so far from the industry and friends,” the team stated. Donations will remain open until the awards evening on Tuesday 1 October.
Frontier 40 Challenge
The walk kicked off our wider ‘Frontier 40 Challenge’. As part of the celebrations, DFNI-Frontier is inviting our travel-retail industry colleagues and partners to join us in making a meaningful impact by pledging their own ‘40’ themed challenge.
King Power (Hong Kong) Group Chief Executive, Sunil Tuli and Jonathan Holland Associates & HMS International Managing Director, Jonathan Holland (pictured below left to right), will take on the baton and also undertake a 40km trek across Singapore on August 24th continuing our efforts to raise funds for Wings of Hope.
Our Mission
This charity walk not only marks a milestone for the Frontier Awards but also supports the Wings of Hope Children’s Charity. The event is part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on future generations and aligns with our broader celebrations. A special thanks to Silent Pool, the finish-line partner.

Here are some ideas:
- 40-Hour Challenge: Take part in a 40-hour continuous event, such as a read-a-thon, dance-a-thon, or game-a-thon, and raise funds through sponsorships.
- 40 Acts of Kindness: Commit to performing 40 acts of kindness in your community, such as volunteering, helping neighbours, or donating to local charities.
- 40 Miles for Charity: Host a 40-mile cycling or running event. Participants can complete the distance individually or as a team and gather pledges for their efforts.

Join Us in Making a Difference
In June, DFNI had the privilege of attending the semi-finals of WOHAA in Westminster, witnessing the incredible impact of the programme on young leaders. DFNI’s Kapila Ireland shared: “I was incredibly impressed and inspired by the young people taking part. The event has left me feeling positive and hopeful about our younger generations and their attitude towards making the world a better place.”
Your support can help us continue this important work. Let’s walk together towards a brighter future for all.
