Assemblies/Presentations/Careers Fairs –> the WOHAA teams come into schools to present the programme and answer your questions.
Students begin registering and get going on their projects in the most innovative and fun ways they can! The registration deadline is 30th NOVEMBER
We like to think we put the FUN in fundraising… do you agree??
This is the most important time of the programme as it’s the moment for you as students to show your skills and energy in cake sales, charity galas, swim-a-thons, home clothes days, raffles, fairs, talent shows… the list is endless and we are constantly amazed by our teams’ innovations! Will you be the team to surprise us this year?
Your WOHAA mentor will be in touch to help you through the process and check out our Resource Centre for more hints and tips on fundraising ideas and answers to all your questions. We’re always a phone call away if you are really stuck!
Submit your Snapshot project! These projects can be in the form of video diaries, PowerPoint presentations, scrapbooks, a rap, or any other creative way you want to present your journeys. You must also submit a Snapshot submission form along with your projects.
Years 9-11 have the option to submit their projects at the end of January.
ALL STUDENTS submit their projects by May 31st latest
Top teams are invited to our Semi-Finals at the House of Lords where the teams will give a short presentation of their WOHAA journeys to a panel of judges, which in previous years has included the actor David Jason, CEOs from Boots, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Baroness Verma, and more prestigious names. Check out our previous panellists here!
Our judging takes into account these presentations, as well as their Snapshot projects. The main categories are:
Most Entrepreneurial Team or Individual
Most Awareness Raised and Best Presentation
Community Action Award
Excellence in Sports/Performance/Arts/Culinary/Technology (as part of the project)
Most Funds Raised
Overall Winning Team/Individual
WOHAA’s Annual Awards Ceremony – a night to be remembered! A celebration of the achievements of WOHAA participants, this event is always huge fun, filled with music from some of the UK’s top performers. This is where the winners will be announced and trophies presented. Check out this year’s celebrations!
The Overall Winning team will receive an expenses-paid trip to the school we support in Chennai, India, to see first-hand the difference their efforts have made. Have a read of how last year’s winners’ trip went.
The winners from each of our Award categories will receive work experience placements with our corporate partners, who represent some of the top names across a wide range of sectors such as consultancy, PR, banking, and the law.
