At the Wings of Hope, we are passionate about nurturing the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Dr R. Sri Ram, Co-Founder of The Wings of Hope, highlights this vision: “We are proud of our young students, who prove to be true agents of change. Through WOHAA, they showcase creativity, entrepreneurship, care for their community, and professionalism. After 20 years of running this programme, semi-finals day remains a highlight, showcasing the hard work and skills of thousands of students.”
Rajni Sriram, Co-Founder, adds: “For our 20th anniversary, we were thrilled to see so many students join WOHAA, showing its lasting impact. The programme equips students with vital skills like teamwork, leadership, creativity, and problem-solving, shaping them into exceptional young leaders.
WOHAA celebrates diversity, welcoming students from all backgrounds. With over 40,000 participants from 600+ schools since 2004, it’s a remarkable achievement for all involved.”
That’s why we are thrilled to partner with Universal Partners, who share our commitment to empowering young people with essential financial awareness.
“We at Universal Partners are delighted to support The Wings of Hope to raise financial awareness to the next generation of young leaders. I started my business as a young entrepreneur, and having a knowledge of finance can catalyse your growth. Often the world of finance can seem complex and difficult to get into. We want to widen the access to it, for the students of Wings of Hope. Over the course of the year, we are excited to have our team support the Wings of Hope students through workshops and events. We also hope to engage our clients to support the charity as we champion the cause to our community,” says Dhaval Patel, the founder of Universal Partners.
Over the course of the year, Universal Partners will lead workshops and host events for Wings of Hope students, breaking down complex financial topics into accessible and practical knowledge. From understanding budgeting fundamentals to exploring entrepreneurial finance strategies, these sessions will empower students to take confident steps toward their goals.
Additionally, Universal Partners is inspiring their network of clients to support our cause, helping us create a wider community of champions for the talented young people we serve. This collaboration extends beyond workshops, fostering a movement that connects resources, expertise, and support for our students.
“WOHAA has given us the chance to make a meaningful impact on our local community by promoting sustainability. Through collaboration, negotiation, and hands-on experience, we’ve learned that even small actions can bring us closer to creating a more sustainable future for everyone”- Keda, Oxford International College.
“My son Caspar Lehmkuehler really enjoyed being part of the WOHAA project. He said that it was the most interesting and the most challenging group project he’s ever done. He not only enjoyed a lot but he also learned a lot in the process. His abilities to lead a group and to persuade others to help people in need grew substantially. He donated a lot of time towards the project and learned how to organise and strategically plan events to raise awareness. Caspar also got to know more about the difficult situation for the children in India and Malawi and he is eager to help beyond WOHAA”- Parent of Caspar.
“The WOHAA journey has been an eye-opening experience for me as I was unaware of how many different components there were to fundraising. I also loved working in a team with my classmates and friends. My decision to participate in WOHAA was possibly one of the best decisions I have made”- Ariana, Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School.
