Fundraisers

Our team Lakshmi, Shagana and Tharmavi from Wallington Girls' High School, are hopeful in using WOHAA as an opportunity to carry out our goals in helping as many children, as much as possible. We are dedicated to increasing awareness of the struggles of young children to support us in raising money to better their accessibility to education.

We are a group of 6 girls at the start of our A-level journey we believe undertaking WOHAA will be a beneficial experience and will make a difference for a cause which aligns with our core values as a group. With WOHAA our main group objectives while undergoing WOHAA is to raise money to benefit others in a less fortunate position to us in India and Malawi, so they can access greater amounts of resources for their education. In addition to this we feel the project will allow us to develop our skills which will be transferable later in life. For example, our communication, organisation and teamwork skills. We cannot wait to partake in WOHAA, any donations to be able to help us fundraise would be kindly appreciated.

Team Game Changers is a group of two passionate 13-year-old boys committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of disadvantaged children. Our mission is to raise funds to provide children in India and Malawi with access to education, empowering them to build a brighter future through knowledge. With a fundraising goal of £1,000, we are determined to reach our target and ensure that every penny raised will go directly towards creating equal opportunities for all. Hi, we are team Wings of freedom!  As a small group of Sixth former's currently in Year 12, we would like to raise up to £1500 to support WOHAA in helping school children in India to get the education they deserve.  Through a range of charity fundraisers and tuck shops we hope to organise, we wish to make even a small impact on society with this chance.

We are Team Aasha, a group of driven individuals with a shared goal of making a difference in society and people’s lives. Our team consists of Maya (our team leader), who is passionate about helping others, spreading happiness, and expressing herself through performing arts; Sofia (our financial lead), who loves meeting new people and challenging herself through swimming and drama; and Elise (our operations lead), who is dedicated to creating positive change and fighting poverty through her work at Oxfam. We were inspired to join the Wings of Hope Challenge by our commitment to empowering our community and developing our leadership and teamwork skills. With strengths in problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity, we aim to raise £1500 to support children in Malawi and India. True to our name, Aasha (meaning "hope" in Hindi), we aspire to bring hope and opportunity to those less fortunate. Through passion, teamwork, and a drive for change, we are eager to make a lasting difference with the Wings of Hope Challenge.

We are two six formers on a mission to raise money for the Wings of Hope charity. We understand that education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world and thus hope to empower disadvantaged children through this. If not us, then who will? Help us make change!
