New ideas, new connections and plenty of enthusiasm; the WOHAA journey is officially underway!
On Saturday 10th October, we brought together around 65 participants for this year’s first WOHAA Accelerator Day, and what a great way to start the 2026/27 programme!
The room was full of energy as students from schools across the country came together to meet one another, share ideas and get excited about the months ahead. With a mix of icebreakers, group activities and interactive workshops, the day was all about getting students thinking, working together and feeling ready to take on the WOHAA challenge.
From Ideas to Action
Having a great fundraising idea is one thing; knowing how to make it happen is another! Throughout the day, students explored the practical side of bringing a project to life, from planning and managing their time to communicating effectively and working as a team.
The workshops gave everyone a chance to think about their own ideas, learn from others and start figuring out how to turn their ambitions into action. Just as importantly, students had the opportunity to build connections and discover what they could achieve by working together.
It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm in one room. Every WOHAA journey looks a little different, and we’re excited to see how this year’s teams develop their ideas, tackle challenges and bring their projects to life.
And We’re Off!
The Accelerator Day may be over, but the exciting part is only just beginning! Over the coming months, our WOHAA teams will put their ideas into practice, develop their skills and work towards making a real difference through their fundraising efforts.
We can’t wait to see what they come up with. Here’s to a brilliant year ahead!
