Now that you have signed up for WOHAA…..here is where the fun begins!!
So this is what you need to do next:
- Have regular meetings, say every Wednesday lunchtime at school for 15-20 mins.
- Keep notes of what was discussed at these meetings so that you can refer to them at a later date. ( We here at office all them keeping minutes of the meetings !)
- Assign roles to each team member. So one can be a Finance manager, another Sales and Marketing manager, another Buying manager and so on and so forth. Each member needs to be given a monetary target to raise whilst taking part in the role. Thus goals need to be set, so that each person has some responsibility and not one member of the team is doing all the things. This way each team member will learn skills.
- Have a decent fundraising target and not something so low. This will when you aim high, you will achieve more and learn more. In the past teams have set themselves very low targets and thereby not really learnt a lot of skills in the bargain.
