Fundraisers

Lauren Golshan is from Seattle, Washington (USA). Since graduating from the University of Washington, she’s lived in Bangalore, London, Dubai, Singapore, and multiple states across the United States. Through all that change, she’s found comfort and continuity through the joy of exercise. Lauren’s a certified yoga instructor, an avid jogger, and a group fitness fanatic. Lauren is currently pursuing an MBA at London Business School and intends on working in social impact consulting. She is currently leading LBS' Impact Consulting Club and she just finished an internship in the UAE where she helped develop Abu Dhabi's first Child Protection program. Lauren hopes her career will enable her to help people, youth specifically, overcome hardships and reach their full potential. She couldn't be more excited to run in the London Marathon in support of the Wings of Hope.

Our mission is to break down barriers to education and create opportunities for every child no matter their background or circumstance.

We’re taking part in the WOHAA Charity Challenge to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds who don’t always have access to education and opportunities we often take for granted.

We’re a passionate team of 5 girls dedicated to making a difference in our community through compassion and action. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to soar to their fullest potential, and through collaborative actions, generous donations, and meaningful friendships, we hope to raise money and make as big of a difference as we can.

We believe in using our interests and energy in positive ways that bring people together.

We are the butterfly effect, a group of 6 year 12 students who want to make difference and improve education for everyone.

As a group, we believe everybody should have the right to the same luxuries that we all enjoy and very often take for granted, especially education. Through effort, community and solidarity, we plan to raise money and spread awareness to help Wings of Hope's goal to deliver that education to as many children as possible, who have no access to such a basic right - so that we may use our privileged position today to secure a better tomorrow for them. Part of making a change in these children's lives is not only to secure them this education, but to change attitudes here and now: get people to understand the importance of this right and inspire them to fight for change in turn, which is why our focus is on community events that everyone can participate in: Games, bake sales, culture days, balls for special occasions, all getting people engaged in the effort and giving a platform to the incredibly important message that we want to deliver and the incredibly important work that must be done.

West Kirby Grammar School

I am a 15 Yr girl old and am doing WOHAA all alone! I run a small business that sells kawaii themed kids stationary and have been doing stall events for 2 years. I wanted to use my business for good and use its profits to raise as much money as possible for WOHAA. I aim to reach Gold and help people in my community and across the world! I chose the name Pandora's Box because I believe that even in the darkest times, hope still persists, just like in Pandora's story. My aim is to raise as much money and awareness as possible for WOHAA to help those who still have hope, because no matter what problems arise, hope will always be with you ❤️
