We are Beleafers, a team made of 6 year 12s from Birmingham, trying to contribute to our community whilst helping communities across the globe. We are taking part in the Wings of Hope Academy Award competition to raise awareness and money to provide education to children in India and Malawi. We recognise the privilege that we have in this country to have free and accessible education and it is a dream of ours to extend that privilege to our peers in different places. So join us by donating to a worthy cause, and become a part of a growing global community!

We are a team of 3, 14-15 girls who are in year 10 who are working together to help kids have a better education.

The significance of the name “ZAKAT” for our Team at Zakat, we chose a name that reflects our core values and mission. Zakat, which is derived from the Arabic language, is often linked to charity and altruism. It’s a form of giving that aims to provide the less fortunate with the care and support they need to carry on with their daily lives. The term “ZAKAT” literally translates to “that which purifies,” emphasizing the idea that by giving to others. We are also purifying ourselves. As a Muslim group, we believe this name represents our dedication to bringing about lasting change and becoming a source of hope for underprivileged communities.

Introducing Kindness in Action: we are a team of young girls dedicated to helping underprivileged children in India and Malawi. Together, we raise funds for education, spreading love and hope across continents. In today's age, many of us look at the inequalities we see others face but we do not convert our thoughts into change. Education is one of the most important aspects of a life, so put your kind thoughts into action and join us on this journey of making a lasting impact!

We are raising money to donate to children in India and Malawi. This money will better their education so if you are able to donate, please do below.
